Plastica Seconda Vita certification:
Plastivalle chooses recycled plastic
Plastic that transforms into opportunities
Plastic pollution is a critical issue for Plastivalle. This is why the company is committed to manufacturing bottles, jerry cans and jars using 100% recyclable materials and promoting the use of recycled polymers from sorted waste, industrial waste and recovered plastic materials. This conscious choice brings significant environmental benefits, positively impacting the climate and global sustainability.

When to use products made of
RECYCLED PLASTIC
Recycled plastic bottles can be used in all sectors that do not involve direct contact with food products.
The EU-certified recycling process is subject to strict controls, guaranteeing high quality standards. However, the possibility of contamination from chemical substances absorbed during the use of the materials cannot be completely excluded. This is why products made from post-consumer plastic are not suitable for containing food or similar products.

The main differences between recycled and virgin plastic
The structural and functional properties of a product made from recycled plastic are equivalent to those of an item made from petroleum-based sources. Most post-consumer materials retain some characteristics of the original plastic, which gives recycled products their unique traits: the smell and colour can never be neutral.
PLASTICA SECONDA VITA:
what does it mean?
Plastivalle, as a transformer partner of the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics (IPPR), is a company certified with the ‘Plastica Seconda Vita’ (PSV) trademark, which certifies the use of recycled plastic materials during production.
The Plastica Seconda Vita trademark is an environmental certification system recognised at both Italian and European level, designed to promote materials and products derived from recycled plastic.
It is the first trademark in Europe dedicated exclusively to recycled plastic.
It promotes quality standards for recycled plastic materials.
It guarantees the traceability of materials along the entire recycling chain.
It is based on the percentages of recycled material defined in the circular of 4 August 2004, implementing Ministerial Decree 203/2003 on Green Public Procurement, and on the UNI EN ISO 14021 standard.
With this certification, Plastivalle supports circular economy, contributing to a more sustainable management of resources.
Advice from Plastivalle
Plastivalle firmly believes that the first step towards solving the plastic pollution issue is to reuse plastics that are already in circulation.
We have taken the first step. What about you?
The plastic that ends up in rivers, and eventually in the seas, causing enormous damage, is solely that which is irresponsibly, or even criminally, discarded into the environment by some individuals. Therefore, if you want us to recycle it correctly, please dispose of it in the appropriate recycling bins.
