Plastic containers for food

06 August 2024
Plastic containers, but so any other type of container for the marketing, transport and storage of food, must, in the first place, preserve its shelf-life (durability, commercial life...) "a period of time which corresponds, under defined circumstances (packaging, storage temperatures, transport conditions), to a tolerable decrease in the quality of a packaged product".

Simply, food must maintain its hygienic and organoleptic characteristics to ensure safe and pleasant consumption in a pre-defined period before the expiry date.

Plastic machines for the production of food containers use:

PET (polyethylene terephthalate), used to make mainly transparent single-use bottles and containers containing water, drinks and cold foods.

HDPE/ LDPE (or PE, high and low density polyethylene), a non-transparent, safe and durable food plastic, with which yogurt jars and milk containers are produced.

PP (polypropylene). Used for its outstanding durability and hardness, high air permeability and lack of water absorption, as well as being completely odourless.

Plastivalle manufactures containers for the food and beverage industry in environments and with technologies that comply with the most stringent industry regulations.

In addition to a wide range of plastic containers, Plastivalle offers customized bottles, jars and cans, with shapes, colors and finishes (such as silk-screen printing and hot stamping) according to the needs of customers and the best corporate marketing strategies.
